The Nikon FM2 was a staple amongst alpinists & mountaineers for it’s mechanical ruggedness & compact size.

The FM3a, it’s last predecessor before the digital era, was announced in 2001 the same month I was born. It’s my favorite camera.

It stays by my side on glaciers, through jungles, dangling from trees, paragliders, cliffsides, & birthday parties.
